Leafy love

Little spinach leaves

Sweet little leaves...

The first spinach seeds I planted are coming up happy and healthy! My heart is full of adoration for these little sprouts. I can’t wait to taste their delicious leaves when they get big enough!

Over the weekend, our nephew planted a second batch of spinach and lettuce seeds. We did it a little differently this time – he dug a little shallow strip of soil all the way across the garden bed, and sprinkled the seeds all together here, then covered them back up. I thought perhaps this would start them out closer together than sowing each one in its own hole, and discourage weeds. Anyone know if this was a good idea?

Wishing you sweet dreams of spring greens!
