Halloween crafts and fun

Front steps on Halloween night

Wouldn’t you want to ask these nice folks for candy?

Although our own pumpkins yielded no bright orange globes this year (see my post about the “All Thrills No Frills Award”), it’s still a great time of year to embellish some squashes to scatter around the house and yard.  I was set on lighting up the front walkway in hopes some of the neighborhood children would come to our door, as I’ve always dreamed of living in a neighborhood where trick-or-treating happened (growing up, we lived on rural streets that just weren’t feasible for house-to-house walking).

My hopes were satisfied – we had nine trick-or-treaters throughout the night! What did you do for Halloween?
