Remember that big, six-yard pile of mulch I ordered in early April? Well…it’s still not totally gone, even though I’ve been working on spreading it out every chance I get!

Although I feel like the place won’t look truly nice until the weeds are all gone and the mulch is all spread, let’s be realistic – weeds are always going to grow. Nevertheless, April / early May is a magical time, and I can’t complain about the little joys and bursts of color that fill our yard during this part of the year.
